This policy explains what information ALUWORLD LTD ("we", "us") collects through aluworldltd.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
We only collect the information you choose to send us through the forms on this website:
- Quote requests: your name, email address and/or phone number, project city, postal code, project details, whether you'd like a free site visit and your preferred day, and any photos you choose to attach.
If you call or email us directly, we receive the details you share in that call or message.
Information collected automatically
- Our website host, Netlify, processes standard technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- The website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address.
- If you allow analytics, Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits, traffic sources, successful quote submissions and phone-button clicks. Analytics stays off until you choose “Accept cookies.” We do not send your form entries, contact details, messages or photos to Analytics, and advertising personalisation is disabled. You can change your choice using Cookie settings below.
How we use your information
We use your information only to respond to your request: to contact you, arrange a site visit, prepare your quote, carry out any work you hire us for, and follow up about your project. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
Who handles it for us
- Netlify, Inc. receives and stores form submissions on our behalf.
- Google provides our email (form submissions are emailed to us) and the website fonts, and provides optional website analytics.
These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it to respond to you, complete any work, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. After that, we delete it.
How we protect it
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to submissions is limited to the people at ALUWORLD LTD who need it to handle your request.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it, subject to any legal requirements to keep it. Contact us using the details below and we'll respond as soon as we can.
If you have a concern we can't resolve, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
